Biographical sketch of  Luo Fuhe

Male, born in 1949, of Han nationality, native of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province.

Soldier of a production and construction corps under the Guangzhou Military Area Command in 1968-1973.

Studied at the Guangdong Agriculture and Forestry College in 1973-1976.

Worked as TA, associate professor and deputy director of the administrative office at the Guangdong Agriculture and Forestry College in 1976-1989. (Postgraduate student in the agriculture and forestry school of the Helsinki University, Finland, in 1981-1983.Studied at Forest Academy Finland in 1988-1989.)

Vice president of in the South China Agricultural University in 1989-1998. (Promoted full professor since 1995.)

Deputy director of the Guangdong provincial science and technology commission and deputy head of the Guangdong provincial science and technology department in 1998-2001.

President of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GAAS) in 2001-2002.

Chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy (CAPD), deputy head of the Guangdong Provincial Association for Science and Technology and GAAS president in 2002-2003.
